Getting right into this photography thing lately and especially since getting asked by 2x X-Games Gold Medalist Jackson Strong to be his personal photographer for all his photos from social media, press releases, website and even shooting images for his sponsors. This is great honor as Jackson is one of the worlds best and rides in some incredible places around the world that I can’t wait to photograph.
Below is one of the sweet shots I took at an incredible sunset ride out at Jackson’s home compound in country NSW.
This was up there with one of my best and fastest jobs to date.. The day started off with a flight down to Melbourne to shoot photos with V8 ute driver Matt Nolan then from there I edited all the photos on the flight home and later that night designed this killer poster and Facebook banner for the launch of his 2013 team. This was one of my first times shooting with my all new strobes and couldn’t believe how awesome they worked and the effects I got.
Just the other day I got asked by Freerider MX magazine to shoot some images of my sister Emma McFerran. Emma only just recently got back on her bike and the mag was doing a huge story on her and her huge recovery. Anyway be sure to grab a copy as the mag in currently on sale. Lately I’ve been having heaps of fun shooting photos and was so pumped to see theses photo go to print.
All in a days work.. shot and edited this video all in one day for MotoOnline.com.au of Suzuki Racing’s Todd Waters training for the up coming Australian Supercross series.
Designed this logo for a Melbourne based motorcycle club the Penguins. President of the club Mitch Yeats and club secretary Paul Rowsthorn wanted something retro that on first glance resembled an old motorcycle club emblem but was still modern with a bit of class. This wasn’t an easy combination to put together but after hearing all the positive feed back I must have got it pretty spot on.

Join the action at the Holden Driving Center on the Gold Coast for the Hitachi Stunt Team Ride Day. Hitachi clients hit the track for a day of drifting with stunt driver Matt Mingay and the Stuntz Inc team.
So pumped with how this video turned out as the whole clip was shot and fully edited in one working day.
Built and designed this clean and uncluttered website for Red Bull athlete Josh Sheehan. Josh asked once again to build him a site as he was happy with the first one i built for him two years ago, since then I have leaned a lot and I was excited when he asked us to build a new one for him. Josh and my self were both very happy with the end result and it would have to be one of my top sites I have built.

Designed this logo just recently for a client who is starting a ski race tv show. The client wanted something fresh that incorporated a skier dude somewhere in the design, he also mentioned he liked the look of green that I use in my MatMac Media logo. After a few drafts this was the final product we finished with. Can’t wait to see this logo on TV soon.

Facebook pages are huge and theses days you got to have one so why not make it look good. I designed this one for Monster Energy athlete and mate Andy Buckworth. Andy wanted something that looked cool and that helped promote his sponsors so I added an extra page in for his sponsors while throwing in a cover, matching display picture and buttons.

Got the call up from Jetpilot one day asking us to shoot a video for one of there team moto riders Luke Wilson. Luke was new to the Jetpilot team so they wanted a video that would show off his bike, team, truck and skills on the bike. Surprisingly this was the first motocross video I had shot and it was a fun day shooting with Luke as he was so pumped to be apart of it all. Can’t wait to film more motocross in the future.
This poster was designed for stunt bike rider Matt Mingay. This is the second year I have designed team posters for Matt and after a few tweaks this was the final draft that Matt went with. Matt was after a poster that was dark and suited his style but was still light enough for his signature to stand out on when signed at events.
Shot this for Monster Energy Drag Racer Shane Tucker, the team flew me over to Perth to shoot a 3 to 4 minute web video of them testing for an upcoming event.
This video was one of the biggest and most view videos at the time as it had over 10,000 views and almost all of them where in the first day, I put a heap of work into this one and very pleased with the end result as were Shane and the Rob Tucker drag race team. Can’t wait to work with theses boys again.
Wasn’t this a tough day at the office lol Got asked by editor Ben Foster to film a photo shoot at pool for Freerider MX a freestyle motocross magazine on the Gold Coast.
The day I shot this I was actually just out having wake bored on the team boat with no intention of shooting at all. Jamie Whincup and Shane Tucker joined us on the boat so I decided to pull the camera out. Turned out to be a sick day and so glad I had my camera gear handy to capture the fun. Enjoy
